GeoRasterAI is software that automates processes related to the digitization of analog maps (scanned) using artificial intelligence algorithms. The software supports the digitization of raster data, especially various types of maps. It allows for the automation of tasks that are traditionally performed manually, such as calibrating (applying georeferencing) to the scanned map or digitizing elevation points, trees, and other objects, as well as performing data verification. GeoRaster AI, based on descriptions in the margins, corner coordinates, and grid cross points, performs automatic calibration of the map raster to a selected coordinate system. It generates the resulting raster in the chosen format (geotif, ecw, jp2, etc.) along with a report detailing the process. The software also includes mechanisms for automatically detecting selected types of objects, such as elevation points, and saving them in vector formats.
The software allows for processing individual rasters or running in batch mode. It can function as a service in conjunction with any GIS system or database, and also enables saving vector data in various formats such as SHP, GeoJSON, XML/GML, DXF, CSV, RDF.
Key functionalities of the GeoRasterAI application:
- 100% automatic calibration (georeferencing) of raster maps
- Automatic detection and vectorization of selected objects (e.g., elevation points)
- Automatic saving of data to vector layers
- High efficiency thanks to artificial intelligence algorithms
- Reports on executed operations
- Operation on single rasters or batch processing
- Integration with any databases and GIS systems through flexible API and service-oriented architecture.
The software has been developed as part of the "Building a Knowledge Base of Real Estate" project, co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development.
