The Sentinel satellite constellation continuously delivers terabytes of data, providing unprecedented opportunities for analysis due to its timeliness, diversity, and short revisit times. However, the size (a single Sentinel-2 image can be over 6GB) and complexity of the data (a single scene consists of several hundred files) can limit access for GIS users without expertise in satellite data.
The SENTINEL Hub service simplifies access to Sentinel-2 data with a single action - connecting the WMS (Web Map Service) to the GIS platform used (e.g., QGIS, GeoMedia, ArcGIS) or map portal. The service's functionality can be tested on the public SENTINEL Playground portal.
