The Institute's research in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Spatial Information Systems (SDI), and Graph Databases/Linked Data/Semantic Web is always associated with specific implementations. Below is a list of the most interesting projects conducted both in the country and abroad:
1. CREODIAS - Discovery services for the European Space Agency (Brussels 2018): The Institute, together with Creotech and Cloud Ferro, is building the DIAS system - a platform that provides fast access to a vast amount of Earth observation data (satellite data) and thematic Copernicus services. It enables easy and rapid search, processing, and sharing of data, providing a wide range of services for all sectors.
2. Semantic Web Tools Development (Warsaw 2018): The Institute worked on the development of Semantic Web tools.
3. Expansion of INSPIRE Metadata Tools and Services for GUGiK (Warsaw 2018): The Institute, in collaboration with the consulting firm Kon-Dor, expanded the editor and validator of metadata for the Main Office of Geodesy and Cartography (GUGiK) to comply with the requirements of the INSPIRE directive and the general requirements of the CAPAP system.
4. CheckGreen (Frascati 2017): The Institute, along with the IT integrator NEWIND and CBK PAN as an advisory center, conducted a project for the European Space Agency concerning the use of Copernicus satellite imagery in monitoring greening practices defined by the Common Agricultural Policy.
5. Development of Semantic Web Metadata for PIG-PIB.
6. Development of Semantic Web Metadata for CODGiK.
7. Implementation of Semantic Catalogue Service in Podlaskie Voivodeship (Białystok 2015/2016).
These projects showcase the Institute's involvement in various innovative initiatives related to AI, SDI, and Semantic Web technologies both nationally and internationally.
